Well today I took the nclex-RN for the second time and failed it... I got 265 questions both times. I dont know what to do... I used Hurst, Kaplan, and ATI. Anyone help? I'm ready to quit and choose another career.

Hey don't give up you have worked hard in school and graduated. You need to take some time to allow yourself to get over this last exam then you need to really think again about why you went to nursing school, re-motivate yourself. Look at what you did for preparing the first 2 times and compare your exam score breakdowns to see what happened. I hope you give it another shot or at least try to refocus yourself and figure out whats going on. Keep your head up and don't move too fast to any conclusions.

If you made it to 265 both times, that means you're not failing miserably. You are right on the boarder. It's the best one could hope for, if they fail.

I agree with everyone else, don't give up.
I personally answered all 4500 questions from the Saunders book.
Readypoint Review by Pearson.
Quizlet, I created flashcards for any material that I couldn't remember.

refocus and start over !!
Thank you guys for the support! I have decided to retake the nclex and started studying today... Both times I have taken the nclex I couldn't sleep the night before and the second time I had/still have a sinus infection. I'm thinking of taking Valerian root next time. Has anyone else tried it?

Hey I am so sorry you have not been successful. Taking the NCLEX can be so stressful especially if you have been unsuccessful before. Now is the time to try and figure out the why behind the failure and get help.....Would you like to talk about it? I am conducting research on nclex failure and have a post on allnurses..... if you would be interested look at the post here is the url

Good luck to you regardless. Do not give up, just find a new way to prepare and you will be a nurse one day soon.
