Aug 16, 201114 yr Okay, so it gets on my nerves that places need 'experience' and they wont give you a job. That is so stupid! How are you gonna get experience if nobody will hire you! I worked at a nursinghome back in 08 for 6 weeks, plus successfully completed a CNA program. Isnt that enough??I had an interview at a home healthcare place and she said they need 1 yr experience. WTH she waste mytime having me come in! Anyone else feel this way???
Aug 17, 201114 yr If they knew of your experience then they shouldn't have wasted your time, you're right.Keep applying. There is the right job out there for you.

My experience w/ home care is customer service and a positive attitude are what they are looking for. Think about how you present yourself to interviewers. Let them know how you can benefit their clients and their organization. You want them to see you as an asset to their business.Good luck!
Aug 18, 201114 yr Yeah, I Had the same happen to me! It's very frustrating. I know I sold myself well and they had me come in to a second interview to meet the director, and the director pretty much said she had no say in who the other two directors yet they made me come to the interview anyway..waste of time. I'm also very frustrated right now with the job market.
