Excelsior

I'm curious to know have anybody in the state of Louisiana went to Excelsior online to complete there LPN to RN transition and if so how was it. And what was the process. Comment if you have also went in other states. I'm curious to know about the pass rate and completion rate of this school.

The pass rates should be on the Excelsior website. I, along with 9 personal friends and colleagues (that I know of), completed the program. Unfortunately, 3 of those had to take the nclex twice, yet none had to repeat the CPNE. One person that I didn't include graduated from the college in 2011 and still refuses to sit for the nclex. Why, I couldn't tell you.

Two of the group went on to become nurse practitioners, 5 of the group received BSNs post ASN, one has an MSN.

We haven't had any problems. I'm in Georgia.

To truly understand the program, please download and READ the nursing catalog. It explains everything. People get upset about fees, wait times, limited number of attempts, etc., but that information is all out there for everyone to read.

I graduated in 2008. I have since continued for a BSN and graduate degrees. :)
