I am looking at signing up for a local practical nursing program. It is a non-credit program based on hours. My question is has anyone done the associate RN program thru Excelsior? I'm not sure what I should do. The non-credit program costs $14,000. I have 6 classes to go until I finish my associates degree at our local community college. I'm not sure if I should apply at Excelsior or go thru with this program and then do the LPN to BSN thru Excelsior. Any advice?

You will not qualify for the Excelsior program until you get an LPN license, unless you are qualified in another healthcare area. Check out their requirements online at http://www.excelsior.edu.

EC doesn't have an LPN to BSN program, but Indiana State does. Might be something to check out.

Also, if you have completed 50% of your clinical courses through an ASN program, then you can actually transfer to Excelsior to finish your ASN. That's what I did.
