The FCCA is the Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment exam. It is a paper-based exam you can complete at home and have 10 days to complete it. It supposed to be going to computer-based sometime this summer, and students have to take it like the other exams at the Pearson Centers. The exam consists of several patient clinical examples, you'll have to complete a careplan, make assignments that will be given to the RN, LPN, and CNA, and also prioritizing the individual pt's needs. You'll need the Mosby's Guide to Nursing Diagnosis 2nd edition book to complete the careplanning portion. I've also used the Fundamental's book for reference. It's very simple, once you figure out what they're asking for! Good luck!
Thx so much; really appreciate the info......
