Excelsior RN ASN Program

All is well with the Excelsior program.... Took Chronicity on 5/26 and finished reading Reproductive Health, taking exam 6/26/09.... So far everything is falling into place.... have to take Life Span 1-3 and then I will be done w/ the Nursing courses.... Anyone know about the FCCA and CPNE? Apparently the CPNE will be $1900 and they weren't reqally clear about the FCCA.... Anyone taken this recently... Please enlighten me, thx....

The FCCA is the Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment exam. It is a paper-based exam you can complete at home and have 10 days to complete it. It supposed to be going to computer-based sometime this summer, and students have to take it like the other exams at the Pearson Centers. The exam consists of several patient clinical examples, you'll have to complete a careplan, make assignments that will be given to the RN, LPN, and CNA, and also prioritizing the individual pt's needs. You'll need the Mosby's Guide to Nursing Diagnosis 2nd edition book to complete the careplanning portion. I've also used the Fundamental's book for reference. It's very simple, once you figure out what they're asking for! Good luck!
