Hey took my NCLEX yesterday had 75 questions; for some reason I didn't spend a lot of time on math questions; boy do I regret that. I had four calculation problems; for some reason I never really had a problem with doing math questions but I don't know if it was anxiety but I forgot the conversion factor 1mg =1000mcg; but for some reason for my first math question I was debating is 1g = 1000mcg; but of course not; the reason I chose that because the question asked to put it in ml/hr and i just didn't like how the answer came out, too many zeros at the end anyway the computer kept on giving me the same question with diffrent number a total of 4 excluding the first on I got incorrect; I am hoping that didn't mess my chances in passing. Just remember to review your conversion factors, in my opinion the math questions were basic and not hard. when you get to the computer take a deep breath and say to youself i know I can do it. Whenever you get a question think about what their asking you; is you don't know what their asking you look at the answer choices for clues. I believe you will do great just take your time on each anser choice and figure out the outcome of each; say to yourself does this answer choice satisfy the question. Just a reminder the computer will blank out in 2hrs and ask you if you want to take a break don't panic because I did, I was at question 62 and it blanked i was saying to myself is this for real, forgetting for a second the computer wil make it first decision at 75. Anyway good luck, oh i did get a lot of meds and i know those are also a part of the math section so I might have a chance.

hifrens,
[color=#483d8b]i know you are feeling anxious and a bit overwhelmed, but remember you can do this and it is just a test. stay focused, breathe and remember you finished nursing school and how far you have come to get to this point. if you feel you are stuck on a question, reread the question as many times as you need, and focus on the answer choices, you may have to think about each answer choice, but the correct answer is there. many times you can narrow it down to 2 answer options, always go with the best answer choice. remember the test is determing nursing competency, not physician competency. you as the nurse can always do something before "passing the buck" to someone else whether it be the md, resp. therapist, rad. tech, etc etc. i wish you all the best. :) have faith and be confident!!!
thanks tracy628 and thanks jadu1106, i'll try my best to be calm and to concentrate on what question asking about, but some time when i see the math question(not all) i couldn't think what to do,i feel like all the things erased from my mind and i should repeat that question again and again,it's really time consuming.i hope it won't happen on exam:coollook:
thanks a lot again
