has anyone taken ethics through ec before or perhaps using chancellor's study guides? ugh, i really don't like this class!!! i can barely get past 2 pages at a time. who cares if there is no one in the forest and a tree falls down and is there a noise or not? who cares if morals only exist because humans made them up and therefore they are already faulty...ugh...i can't take this crap. why is this a job for some people???? i feel like its just wasting my time *grrrr*

Hi,
I FEEL YOUR FRUSTRATION!!! I just took my exam for this course which I needed in order to be accepted into Drexels nursing program. I believe Excelsior is still offering the FREE practice exams. Make sure you sign up for them and dont get too discouraged if you dont score too well on both. They consist of 100 questions each and a couple of the essays although not the same questions were repeated on the exam. The exam is 3hrs and 135 multiple choice with a good number of essay type questions. The materials I found helpful were the Ethics study guide prepared by Excelsior and Basic Moral Philosopy by Robert Holmes 4th edt. I also purchased Morality and Moral Controversies by John Arthur 7th edt but found that not to be helpful at all. I still have these items if you are in need. I hope this helps. U may contact me at nnekas at g mail. Good Luck!!

but this stuff is important - as the next question is:
if a man is alone in a forest and there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?

I took Ethics a few months ago. I used Chancellor's study guide and the EC practice exams.I also had Lisa Arrends notes, but really did not use them just used the practice questions.
I got an "A" but It was a hard test, took almost the full 3 hrs. to complete.I highly reccommend the EC practice exam for this one.Good Luck!
