Okay...I've loved it since the begining, but what was up with Abby last night?
The man clearly said no....

I think she was in denial. He was a mentor for her and I guess she couldn't come to terms with letting him go.

Well, I thought the same thing until the end. He treated her the very same way years before in his class. Dropping a class is different from one's decision to die, but the principle was the same: He wouldn't allow her to give up so easily something that she wanted.
Too bad we didn't get to see the outcome. Maybe if we find a cure for ALS, they'll finish up the story...

They really did a nice job on the show. James Woods is fantastic and really came across well in the show. I felt so bad when he fell down the steps. It was really kind of eery the way they kept flashing back to healthier times. I learned some things that I did not know about ALS.

Congrats to Mona!!! Way to go!!
When was this episode? The one week that I have to work thurs night and I miss a new episode!! Anybody care to give me a recap (just a short one, I have an idea about the James Woods character). I didn't know it was ALS that he was suffering from, One of my friends just got diagnosed this summer with it. Anyone hear of a 25yr old with ALS? Maybe I'm still in denial but is there anyway it could be anything else? He's fine now and accepting of his diagnosis (I always thought he was pretty amazing- going to med school working full time as a manager and having time to hang out with his friends but this really did it for me), I'm the only one that's holding out for a different diagnosis.
Oh and what's with ER in general, it's all about the docs nowadays. UGH!!! I don't really care for that Sam character. And why didn't Abby try NP school? Okay I don't have much of a life but I used to love ER and now well I'm thinking they should be done with it already.
