EPIC

Our hospital just switched to the EPIC system. Anyone else using EPIC out there? What do you think?

We just went live at the end of March. So far it's been pretty good and the transition has been smooth. We were apparently their biggest go-live yet. There are still issues, but most of them are workflow issues and needing time to tailor the system to our specific needs. It's very user friendly though :)

We've had it for a few months now, all in all, I love it so far. I type a lot faster than I write, so I find I am documenting faster and getting to spend more time with my patients! There are definitely some kinks to work out, but it is better on the whole.
