Entering the Nursing program this Fall

Published

I'm finally about to enter the nursing program! That was the easy part lol! Now i have to stay in the program. All the preparation had me stressed out. Background checks, pre-clinical health screenings etc. Thank God my schools health insurance kicked in because i didn't have health insurance and i didn't know how i was going to pay for a physical and bloodwork without it. Nursing school is so expensive! I still have to get a stethoscope and BP cuff. I'll figure out something. The only thing I'm really worried about is housing. I have eight classes this semester including labs and i need to live around my school. I live an hour away so i hope everything comes together.

Congratulations! I don't know how large your school is, but when I was doing my Bachelor's, our school had a newspaper that listed people trying to rent out their rooms or who had an extra room for cheaper than the original price. If not, try checking the local newspaper. Depending on the city, you can find some pretty cheap deals for decent housing.

Congratulations on beginning an exciting journey! I recommend talking to people in the registrar's office at the school about housing. They may get the same requests each semester and have resources.

Thanks so much! My school is pretty small but I'll check local listings.

They told me that usually by the first day payments are due, a lot of housing frees up, but i want something guaranteed.
