Hello, So my enrollment period is looming and I have it planned out to where I would take my last test on Oct 10 however, my enrollment period is up on Sept 29. So , if you get all your theory test completed by the next enrollment period. Do you have to pay the SAAF again or do you have to complete theory test and CPNE before the enrollment period ends to avoid re-payment. I was just curious. Second question. Did anyone take NC 7 with another NC test? I was thinking about doing that with NC 5. This would put at completion of theory test by Sept 27. Did I make any sense, if not I am sorry. It is 4 am and this was crossing my mind while studying! Time to go to bed Nothing is being retained!
Thank you,
Kallie

Kallie, I think you're going to have to pay the annual fee -- if you're taking your last tests, it's going to take time for them to even get you updated and declared CPNE-eligible, and then you have to apply for the CPNE and have all the documentation accepted. I think you only get to defer that fee if you've been waiting for the CPNE already and your annual enrollment date comes around. It's not reasonable to assume that you'd finish your theory exams AND complete the CPNE by September 29 if you're finishing your theory exams on the 27th. Does that make sense?

I'm not 100% on this but I believe that, it wouldn't matter if you did take NC 5 and 7 together, because you actually have to be on the CPNE waiting list to have that waived, meaning your CPNE status was updated, and app was already accepted and paid for. That won't happen in three days.

I think you'd have to pay the SSAF again anyway, but I've heard of waivers and reduction in the graduation fee if you pay the SSAF when waiting for the CPNE.
I would always recommend NOT taking two tests on the same day. That bit me in the butt. An EC nursing adviser told me she never recommends anyone do that, too. I thought I was tough enough for it, but I didn't anticipate that my mind would be partially blown from the first test, leaving me at a disadvantage for the second test of the day. I passed the second test that day after an A on the first test, but I am not happy at all with the grade I received with the second test. Please do not take another test on the same day in order to avoid paying the fee. You probably will have to pay the fee anyway, and if you do not so well like I did on the second test, you may have to pay to take the test again.
Thank you so much. I knew that i would more than likley have to pay the fee that is okay with me. I procasinated a little with starting my test but I am not going to get upset with myself about that I needed to be ready. As long as I get the exams finshed and be on the cpne list by the end of the year and have maybe take this the CPNE DONE by Sept 09! I am hoping!
Oh yeah taking two test in one day I dont think I could do do that I guess what i was try to ask was did anyone take NC7 maybe a week to two weeks with another NC test.
I am sorry if my post confused anyone. It was 4 am and I guess I was more tierd that I thought. Hope everyone has a great day and again thank you for all your help!
I did that with NC4, NC7, and NC5, in that order -- I took all three in one month (Sept. 2007). I felt that NC7's material was different enough that I could overlap it with studying the other two and still keep it all straight. :)
I took NC 1 and then took NC 7 like a day or two later.
Great.. Thank you!!!
Lunah!
Congrads on you your upcoming graduation!
Ah, that was totally my misunderstanding. I think you have a reasonable plan of attack, though. You should be able to do it up!
I totally agree with NC7 being different and somewhat drier than the other NC tests. You can do what you asked about with it, I reckon. NC7 is not really a killer at all like some others I can think of.

Thanks!!! I am so glad to be done!! :) Now I'm tempted to start the RN-BSN, but I think I need to take a wee bit of a break.
