I'm a licensed registered nurse from Ghana, recently initiated my credential verification and evaluation with Cgfns, while waiting for the completion of the process and nclex, I'm thinking of taking either a Patient Care Technician or CNA course to enable me to get some experience in the States but I don't know which of the two programs has high chances of employment in the hospitals in New York. I need held, if anyone has any information for me

Do you have a visa allowing you to work legally in the US?

Neither program would qualify for work visa. Neither would enhance your ability to be hired in an NYC hospital where some places have hundreds of local applicants for a single job opening.
