I am about to take ENPC and was wondering how difficult it is? Any info is helpful!

Hi Sarah - if you're interested in the enpc you could check out the www.nena.ca site. I'll be doing it here in northern BC in May... guess I should have a look at the text eh?

I found it interesting and not at all difficult. Not nearly as instense as ACLS or PALS.

It was more in depth than PALS- PALS deals alot w/ airway-resp distress/shock. ENPC reviews a lot more medical -nursing, trauma. More in depth than PALS- I was an ENPC instructor for years - if you review the book- pay attention in class and participate in teaching scenarios-it's not that difficult. Testing scenarios on Pedi Mult Trauma, Ped Resusc, Triage. Teaches A_B_C technique for assessment-intervention type of nursing care. Complete "A" before moving to "B". I enjoyed it. Together with TNCC prepared me well for CEN. Lots of good reference tables/charts in the book
Enjoy

I disagree...I found it to be more challenging than PALS...some ENPC courses actually encorporate PALS into it and you can recert PALS at the same time...however the written test...not so challenging if you pay attention...The practicals...somewhat challenging, but not overwhelming...the triage station I found the most difficult...more I think because you second guess yourself, even though you know it...
