Hello anyone take the new ENPC class? I was told it's very hard and there is a 75% failure rate on the written. Any tips?

A 75% failure rate? I'm very skeptical.
I took the last edition and it's not that hard.
And honestly, this is a business for which ENA and its instructors are well-paid... a failure rate like you describe is an untenable business model and word-of-mouth would quickly destroy their business.

How much experience do you think you need in the ER before taking this class/exam?

None, it is a well planned course, it will teach you what you need to know.
Agreed... no experience is necessary... it is self-contained.

I just completed and had heard from our manager and supervisor that alot of people needed remediation and had to take the written exam a second time, I didn't think it was that bad, got an 88%. TNCC had been revised but not rolled out yet, our educators just got their materials to re certify. Study the book and think like the book when you take the test.

Just took it...great content! Skeptical about the "75%" fail rate. Besides, if one fails the written it can be taken again within 14 days I believe.
I had to retake my TNCC written, and it actually didn't bother me. I dug in and learned what I needed to and passed with flying colors the second time. Besides, my bottom line is not to simply get the piece of paper to place on my wall, but to know the content, so that when they come through the door into ER I can be an EFFECTIVE RN and give them the best treatment. You will do fine if you read the book and know the topics presented. Good luck!

Have you signed up for the course? Have you started studying? I've heard the same thing, and am wanting to prepare for it as best as I can.
