ENP Certification

I am posting this info for any fellow FNPs interested in taking AANP's Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) certification exam . During my exam preparation I discovered that it was hard to find any threads or online postings related to this topic. The most useful resource I found was the RoshReview practice questions. I purchased the 30 day subscription and went through all of the questions over approximately 3 weeks timeframe prior to taking the exam. I think this alone is enough to prepare you for the exam. Good luck to anyone out there preparing.

Moved; good tips, thank you!

Thank you for posting this! I am definitely interested in obtaining ENP certification after finishing my FNP. I am currently an ICU nurse and I would like to work in the ER as a NP after graduation. Our hospital will allow an FNP in the ER if they've had prior ER or ICU experience. Otherwise, they require dual FNP/ACNP certification. I think having the ENP would be valuable certification to have, if I decide to go elsewhere down the road.

I appreciate you sharing this info :)

Has anyone taken a review course for the ENP certification. I see the Fitzgerald and Barkley review courses. I used the Barkley and APEA to study for my FNP certification and thought Barkley was WAY too much information to cram. I'm not sure if the Barkley ENP review course will be the same? I'm not sure if I should purchase the Fitzgerald or Barkley....

Thanks for making this thread! If you don't mind me asking...were you able to pass with just the RoshReview?

Where did u get your 30 emergency medicine procedure continuing ed from?

Yes, I was successful on my first attempt only using Rosh Review as prep. Highly recommend it.

I obtained the majority of CEUs online at RN.com.
