Hi there, and welcome to Allnurses!
It would be helpful to have more information on the circumstances surrounding your legal issues, e. g. who did you pay the $150 to, and what is your "case"? In the meantime, you may want to talk to your program's nursing director if you haven't already, as some clinical sites may not allow a student with a record to practice there. You will also need to talk to your state BON, as it would be a shame if you were to go to school all those years and then not be able to get your license.
In addition, you should consider consulting an attorney, preferably one who specializes in the laws governing nursing practice. Meanwhile, congratulate yourself on turning your life around! Best wishes for you as you pursue a career in nursing.

Hello,
I just received a letter stating that my case will be transferred to the Enforcement Department and I have to pay $150. I got in trouble when I was 21 and I completed the probation period. And I was told that it would be off of my record but I was not. I have a felony theft that is now 16 years old. I'm very terrified because I don't know what the outcome will be. I'm almost done with my pre-reqs. Can someone please give me an insight.
Thanks
