EMT and Micro?

I am thinking about taking a Micro (4 credits) class as well as an EMT (6 credits) class this summer. They are each two days a week (4 hour classes) and run for 10 weeks. I have no children and won't have to work this summer. Do you think this is too much for a summer semester? Have any of you done this?

I think it's a great idea. I actually took A&P1, A&P2, and Microbiology during 3 summer sessions. If you like fast-paced classes, I think you would do fine! Good luck :)

I'm continually amazed by the people who ask "Can I take class x that requires actual work and class y that requires actual work in the same term?" Once you hit actual nursing school you have next-to-no choice over your course schedule and the classes are all much harder. If you can't hack two moderately difficult prereqs in one term, how are you going to deal with nursing school?

To digress from my tangent, I also say go for it. Then again, I took my EMT-B course over the summer at the same time as my NP-level health assessment course and got As in both, so if you're not quite up to that level you may have issues.

do it, they would balance each other nicely
