Emory Fall 09

I applied for the BSN. I think we should all keep our fingers crossed for the middle of february and not get disheartened. We might all get in. I am praying so hard.

Segue decisions won't come out til 3/15?? I have to let Columbia know by 3/16... I wonder if I can call and try to push for an earlier decision...

Congrats on getting into Columbia dozhenOFF! I applied to the BSN only program and I have prereqs and financial forms in my to-do list. I checked my campus email and I had an email about the scholarship form but I didn't receive it in my regular email. And yes, I'm still going totally crazy waiting until mid-February checking OPUS at least 10 times a day!

That's what the lady told us at the info session in October, but who knows. It may come earlier. Like someone had said in an earlier post, I read a thread for the fall '07 cycle (I think that's when it was) and it seems like they all knew around Feb 17 or 18. I would wait until at least March 1st and if you haven't heard by then, call and see if they can tell you the decision earlier. Just my opinion though.

The info session was really nice. First, everybody was in the main auditorium and we talked about the whole admissions process, which was basically what we read on their website. Then they split us into 3 different groups and we went into different sessions. One session was about scholarships and financial aid, another was a student panel, and the last one was the simulation lab (which was AWESOME!). It was really informative (and kind of fun) and it basically sealed the deal for me. I especially liked having the panel of students to answer our questions.

i'm in the same boat with columbia waiting for emory's decision... please let me know if you find anything out!

hey guys, i emailed andrea today and she said they're trying to mail decisions out by next wed. she didn't say anything about whether or not it would be posted on opus though. anybody else heard otherwise?

I also have been in contact with Andrea. She said they may try to "mail" decision out tomorrow.

I was notified by Katie that decisions will be released by Feb. 15! I only applied to BSN. Hopefully it will be on opus.

I am not trying to make fun of you all but I did giggle a little bit reading all your posts. I remember being in your shoes a year and a half ago!! Here I am with 88 days until graduation!!

As far as posting your decision on OPUS...aww hell no. My decision letter wasn't even posted until I was into my second semester!

Good luck to you all! I am so excited for you. It's been awesome and I wouldn't change a thing about being there. And don't overload Andrea too much! That woman busts her butt and is so overwhelmed. If you have any questions pm me. I will try to get back to you quickly.

i got this response today from emory about when decision will be out.

"if you applied to the 1st degree or 2nd degree program they will be online at 12:01 am, 12.15 if you applied to the segue option they will be sent in the mail only."

i wish they would tell us if we got in or not before the scholarship applications feb. 15th deadline. i hate to spend time on applications if i didn't get in.
