Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for anyone who has applied to Emory for BSN Fall 2017, I haven't been notified yet, although my application is complete I am believe they will get to the last round of candidates in April, being the last deadline is March 15.
They did waive my standardized test score and I was wondering if anyone else had this happen. Or if anyone else has been accepted and would like to share their stats ?
Ive also applied to GSU and Kennesaw for fall start of 2017
Thanks!

Hi! I decided last minute to take a chance and go ahead and apply. I just finished up my application yesterday so it is super last minute. I don't think I'm going to get in and all my other applications have been to community/tech ADN programs in SC, but I think Emory is such a great school and I love the Atlanta area so I figured the worst they could say is no!
Again probably not going to be accepted but here's my stats:
1470 SAT (CR+M)
96.7 TEAS
I uploaded my scores from the time I took the GRE because my reading score was in the 91st percentile, but my other scores were only in the 40s.
My cum. GPA is pretty low, under 3.0, and I ended my last semester with a FMLA withdrawal, which is why I don't think I'm going to get in. I also had to repeat A&P1, which disqualifies me from most BSN programs. Counting only my second attempts, my GPA for the prerequisites listed is a 3.08.
I do have a resume that involves work as a doula (hence my username) and also some health advocacy and whatnot so I'm hoping that and my test scores will be what stands out.
If I don't get in I won't get disappointed, and my plan is to do my ADN, then my RN-BSN and then apply to Emory's Nurse Midwife Program! It would take a year longer that way, but might be cheaper to stay in state for the BSN so it wouldn't be the end of the world.
I hope you get in, but I also hear that GSU and Kennesaw have great programs as well! Good luck!
Thanks for your reply your Teas score is amazing!!! Don't count yourself out sounds like you have some good background work in the field I haven't heard anything yet and I know they said we have to wait until April 15 for decisions. some of my friends have been waitlisted. I also applied to Kennesaw and GSU and haven't heard back from them either trying to have patience I think is the hardest part!!
My GPA as of now is a 4.0 at my current school and I have two B's from years ago which I'm not sure how it's factored in, being they weren't my sciences or any of the courses they require. Good luck to you and anybody else who reads this thread and if anyone's gotten in please share your input !!!

Hey guys, I also did my application very late so my chances are slim, but I figured it doesn't hurt to try. I applied to the absn program which I think is different than yours, but it's still Emory. I have an average overall GPA, all As in my science courses, and a 94.7% on my TEAS. I've also applied to two ADN programs in California. I hope everyone gets into at least one school! :)
Anyone heard anything yet ?
On your application does it all have check marks for them looking at it? Mine still has some x's
I have red X in the classes I'm currently taking and I emailed them before the deadline to confirm my application was complete although I have courses in progress and asked should I provide them with anything, They responded that my application was complete. So I hope it is all ok!

I still have only x's in classes.. is that bad?
I am not sure. I'm worried too, I've read in previous years threads on this website that some people submitted their unofficial transcripts to show current classes. I have emailed the nursing questions the whole way through and called so much I feel like I have bothered them :-/
I guess it wouldn't hurt to send an email to them to ask why you have red X.
I did call yesterday because 2 people I know have been waitlisted and I haven't heard anything. They told me I will hear after April 15th. Super nervous!
after the 15th?
yes she said on or after the 15th
