ELM, FALL 2011

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi,

I've been accepted into APU's Fall 2011 ELM (formerly EENAP) program at the San Diego location and wanted to know if there were any other students from that batch here. I am so excited about starting the program. I'd love to hear from my future classmates. That way we could maybe form a study group when school does start because I heard it is an intense program!

Thanks!

Currently accepted for Fall 2011 Azusa campus but on the waitlist to move to San Diego campus location because closer to home. Originally was accepted to SCAN which was only in Azusa campus.

I am currently accepted into the San Bernardino campus for Fall 2011. Do you guys know anything about the post-licensure courses? I was told that the regional campuses only offer the prelicensure courses, and during the MSN portion, we would have to attend the Azusa campus. Anybody have any other information?

how was the interview process for you? I am currently applying and I am waiting for the interview. How was it?

The interview process was not stressful at all. I completed all my application materials, and sent it in. About a month later, I received an email to interview. I interview over the phone with a faculty member. She was very nice and helpful in answering all my questions. Which campus are you applying to? I orginally applied to the SCAN program at Azusa, but when it changed to ELM, I was offered an earlier start date at the SB campus.

Hi everyone,

I was admitted for Summer 2011 at APU's ELM program. I have a question that maybe you guys can answer. I understand that the tuition for the full 3-4 years is around 58k, but is it possible to stop after completing the pre-licensure portion of the program? If so, would I just have to pay for however many units that is? I'm really confused, so any help answering this would be greatly appreciated.

from what i know, you have up to three years to go back and get your MSN. my guess would be that they will encourage you to do you MSN as well. i myself will be asking similar questions like these during orientation. btw, didnt i reply to one of your posts earlier about the research methods course?!

Yes, you did, and think you for the info! I figured the Masters portion would be an option now that they merged two programs.

Hi lhatee,

I don't know if you are still checking this thread, but I will be starting the ELM program at the San Diego campus this September too. I am very excited that the date is finally getting close! I would love to chat.

Hi everyone! I'm part of the Fall 2011 start. Would love to meet

My fellow batch-Azusa campus.

Specializes in Psych and Antepartum.

Congrats to all of you who were accepted! This is my first choice program. Can I ask what your stats were?

Also, can you apply to more than one location to increase your chances or do you only give preference to one location?

Thanks!!

Hi Hannah! Sorry I'm new to nursing and this board? What do you mean by stats? I put Azusa as my main choice but San Bernardino as my second. I applied for the 2012 and got accepted and the department phoned me when an opening for 2011 in SB showed up but had to turn it down. They called me again when a spot in Azusa opened and I gladly took it. Not sure when the orientation is. I am waiting for more info via email and mail. I graduated 2005, premed. I have all the pre reqs except for Speech (Was not a requirement for undergrad at UCLA). How about you guys?? Do tell!!!!!!

I live in Pasadena.
