Elcentro fall 2017

I know its super duper early.. I'm still in the process of taking my pre reqs.. I still need biol 1406 & bio 2401 I made a B in engl 1301 & A in psyc 2301.. I plan on taking bio 1406 in fall & bio 2401 in winter semester. Im taking as many supporting classes as I can to rack up on the extra points. I currently attend collin but they have so many more requirements than el centro so in the event i do not get accepted into elcentro the following semester I will apply at collin.. I still need Hesi & all my shots along with cpr.. anyone in the same situation? Or just getting the process started?? I figured I'd start a thread to help us all get over this together.. feel free to comment advice, concerns or questions :)

If I don't get in I will retake my HESI and apply again. Hopefully that doesn't happen but we will see. 4 more days. I've have been soo nervous in anxious this week lol. It's finally kicking in. Although it will probably be 6-7 days till I get letter :-/

Yes!!! I'm nervous too. The thing is, if you think about from previous post like Fall 2015, Fall 2016. There were over 600 comments and on this one there is only 200 something....so I'm not to assume that a lot of people did not apply because of the increase of the Hesi scores. I'm going crazy because I'm wondering if a lot of people applied for the fall that we don't know about.

I thought that too. I've followed each semester forum for the past year or so and they are much more active. When I started talking on this one I was like wow not a whole lot goin on lol. But that's a good thing lol

I'm thinking that maybe the scores are too high from some people because even some universities require a 75 or higher on each section, idk. But I hope that I hear some good news within a few days.

I agree. This minimum of 80 almost made me give up. But glad i didnt!

Never give up! I took the test three times and when I saw that I had passed I almost died. The key is not to study at home! Once I learned that I was golden good luck! I hope we all get in.

The hardest thing for me was the tsi. My high school failed me in algebra lol. So when I started college classes like 6 years ago I took it and was placed in developmental math. But I never took the classes I thought I would just study and reteach myself and retake it and pass into college algebra. But didn't do that till like 3 weeks before application deadline lol. This was the last thing I needed to have done to apply. The week before the application deadline I met with my advisor to retake it and was only 3 points away from passing. Managed to go again a couple days later and passed! I literally almost bursted into tears when the testing center lady handed me my score lol.

For the HESI I found a really helpful app that I used. They also have a version for nclex so I plan on using it throughout the program to prepare and get used to those styles of questions.

Girl you are better than me! I sat in two developmental math classes and passed stats and college algebra with B's. Idk how that even happened but when It did I cried on both occasions. I just feel good because I was able to complete about everything with the exception of Micro. Currently this semester I'm in Chemistry 1411 (hard) but I think I'm making a C, and for the first time I'm happy to get a C.

That's awesome. Yes sometimes C's are good lol. I will just try to finish up my bsn's throughout the program. I'm not looking forward to micro or chem lol

Okay everyone so I signed up for the informed delivery through USPS and I saw that my letter was in the mail...I jumped up and ran to my mailbox only to find out that my letter is sitting in the post office...I just want to die right now lol

So does the letter come to the address we put on the application or the address on the DCCCD system?

The letter that we put on our application. I would check my mail box if I were you.
