Elcentro fall 2017

I know its super duper early.. I'm still in the process of taking my pre reqs.. I still need biol 1406 & bio 2401 I made a B in engl 1301 & A in psyc 2301.. I plan on taking bio 1406 in fall & bio 2401 in winter semester. Im taking as many supporting classes as I can to rack up on the extra points. I currently attend collin but they have so many more requirements than el centro so in the event i do not get accepted into elcentro the following semester I will apply at collin.. I still need Hesi & all my shots along with cpr.. anyone in the same situation? Or just getting the process started?? I figured I'd start a thread to help us all get over this together.. feel free to comment advice, concerns or questions :)

Thank you so much for replying :-) I hadnt made it back that far yet but i did google it and saw they are on a "warning". I had overall 34 points, and when I went to turn mine in, one of the employees looked at it and was like "wow" for my HESI scores, which was an avg of 95. I just need to finish my hep A shots, and hope that doesnt keep me from being accepted. Oh wow we only have 5 days!!! I am so nervous!

From what I thought you had to have the whole series done before applying. That's why I couldn't apply last semester. I could be wrong though. Did u get sentry compliance

Not for Hep A because they said that it was added December 2016. But that as long as the immunizations are all complete prior to clinical. I should be good, but no telling anymore. Every year and every semester something changes :-)

I hope that works out for you. They told me last semester I couldn't apply since I didn't have final shot. But like u said it changes every semester and I'm sure even person to person lol

Yes the guy over the phone said that you had to be in "in the green" in order to be accepted all shots had to be complete for acceptance. I just hope that everyone gets in at there choice of school, I think we have all worked so hard to even have come this far. I'm so tired of taking pre-req's.

Yeah on the sentry form it says they all must be completed starting last semester. I can't wait. I hope I get into el centro but would just be happy to get in period. When you work so hard towards something it's truly amazing for it to actually happen.

It will be either Friday or Monday, we might know something by then...I'm going crazy over here.

Hey ladies. I plan on applying this year at El Centro/Northlake. I'm looking at over 40 points once I finish all BSN courses except Chem 1411. I'm a little confused about SentryMD though. Including my childhood shot records, I have individual proof of certain shots/titers. Do I scan EACH of these to my computer, THEN create a PDF file to upload as one? If any one can break down the whole PDF file thing down for me would be great? What can can be sent in separately, what has to be sent together as a whole, etc. Also, does CPR have to submitted with the shots? Please break this down. LOL

Goodluck ladies.

If I were you I would turn in everything to see what I'm missing and what I'm not missing.

You scan everything and snd as a one file. If you will send something wrong ( I forgot to sign my CPR card) or will be missing you will be told by email and can send it later as a one scanned doc.

Yes I just scanned all my documents on my computer then created a PDF with all the sentry forms, sentry receipt, shots, cpr front and back, everything in one pdf file. Then email it to them. They will email you back letting you know if your compliant or if you need to send them more information.

So I have spoken to my two cousins whom one is a recent ECC nursing grad and the other is a student in the program, and they both explained that they can still accept an applicant, as long as all immunizations are completed by the start of clinicals. BUT I am sure that is definitely a person-by-person situation. I am so glad that this will be coming to an end when we all receive our letter. This is my main choice but if I get denied, I have my appl for UTA ready to go. Anyone have a fallback school or plan? What other campuses did yall look into?
