Jun 2, 201610 yr I went from Med surge to ED and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a great comradery I feel among ER nurses and staff, and I found they really work well together as a team. However I know not only from experience but literature that burnout is high in the ER, but that is also an individual thing. Dont be afraid to ask questions, be proactive but always ask before doing something you are unsure of or even having someone help you. I loved the cardiac aspect of the ER. The reason I left was scheduling conflicts with the family and it seemed illness was always going around among everyone. I was sick of getting sick :) Good luck and have fun!
Jun 2, 201610 yr Lol! Have to admit I misjudged this post from its title. Given that folks come here to ask for medical advice, I assumed this post was by some guy asking for help with the other ED.
