ECPI Nursing program

Hello my fellow LPNs

I would like to know is there anyone in the LPN program at ecpi, and if you are what do you think so far of the program I just took the TEAS test today and I passed. So I will be starting the LPN program on 06/15/2015 :roflmao: I am so happy, but now that I am sitting here thinking about it I am nervous as hell, because I don't know what to expect. I am already a RMA and I just want to get started and get done, so that I can go on and get my RN license because that's what I really want to become....anyone please let me know something I have been hearing some really good things about this school.

Has anyone experienced the Pharm 2 Kaplan? I hear it will drop a overall grade like up to 6pts :Radioactive:... I'm terrified

The second pharm Kaplan or the one you take in pharm 2? I haven't taken the second pharm Kaplan yet- but I know in the class ahead of me everyone failed it the first time- and then passed the second time. The pharm Kaplan I took during pharm 2 was easy- just medication administration.

omg...now I'm terrified. I didn't realize there were two. In my program we take the "focus review mini Kaplan" first. I believe they are 30 questions each and there are 3 of them in total. That may be the med admin. At the end of pharm 2 we take what everyone is calling the 'Big Kaplan', it's supposed to be 75 questions. There are students in my pharm 2 class that failed it and that caused them to have to repeat the entire class.

I think there's actually 3 total- which is horrific if you ask me. My first (and only so far) Kaplan was 75 questions and I managed to score a 92.3% which converted to a 99% for our grading system. See if you can find out exactly what is supposed to be on the Kaplan, and study that- but don't read too far into any of the questions. If you google 'guide to answering Kaplan questions for nurses' you'll find tons of info on how Kaplan wants you to view and answer each of the questions- when are you taking it??

Hi ladies, I hope everyone had a fantastic thanksgiving!

I'm finishing up my last two clinical days of med-surg 2- took the nutrition Kaplan today and got a 94% so I most certainly can't complain. I'm just ready for this term (and year) to be over! Next term is acute care- how is everyone doing in their program???

Hi everyone! I took my Pharm 2 Kaplan yesterday and owned it!!! 98%!!!!!!!! Taking the final tomorrow. Hopefully I'll maintain my "A" in the class. Next term is Concepts 2 and Public Speaking. I will so happy when I'm down to one class a term....10 weeks til then. Hope everyone is doing well!

Mizzyfrufru YES!!!! Congrats girl!!!!

Thank you!!!! Unfortunately I only got an an 85 on the final so my overal final grade came to an 89. I point from an "A". It's my first B since I started the program in March :( . Not gonna beat myself up anymore however, no time. New term starts tomorrow with Concepts 2 and Speech. I'm so looking forward to the extended break this term due to the holiday.

Hey ladies how is everyone I start back Wednesday after sitting out for 5 weeks for not passing pharmacy 2 but that's was well needed so I am ready to get back

Hey y'all I'm in acute meds surg 2 (236). I have two more terms after this and then I'm done.í ¼í¾‰í ¼í¾Š We have our second pharm Kaplan in this term. It's not until we get back from break. Class is going well and clinicals are not bad either. 3 more month and then I'm done!!! Glad to know everyone is doing well.

Great news Candyred!!!! I can't wait until I'm in that window too! I have 9 more months lol. We just started Concepts 2. The class isn't hard but the reading is dry. It's hard staying on task. First test tomorrow, I still have to finish reading the last 2 chapters. Yikes.
