ebikes

I have bicycled regularly as an adult for over 40 years, have owned and modified many bikes, and taken trips as long as 65 miles in a day.

In the last few years, my mileage has decreased, probably due to age or less of a need to work out stress. Last Spring, I built my heavy old single speed into a motorbike. The motorbike renewed my interest, but something was missing, so I finally told my medical nurse wife Belinda, "I'm going to get an ebike".

Without boring you with the details, although it interestingly seems certain cosmic forces were in play, Belinda and I both bought an ebike.  We got outstanding values on some slightly used, high quality Pedego Elements which are like electric mountain motorbikes and can be used off road.

These ebikes are incredible, allowing you to ride them as you would any other bicycle, or assist you to maintain a speed between 8-20 mph, assist you up hills, or pull you along like a motorized bicycle.

I have had my bike for a week and have already put 100 miles on it, chiefly using it to help me maintain speed and assist me up hills. What a joy it is to pump the pedals alongside a busy highway at a speed of no less than 20 mph! Or to be chased by dogs, lay on the accelerator, and leave them in the dust!

I feel as though I've discovered a whole new world of bicycling!
