I don't even have a permit yet, it's just that I don't go out at all.. I usually go out with my road bicycle.
You think I should start getting my permit for license now? Or I still have time? Because I assume that a driving license is required for nursing. Even though I want to work at a hospital. But I still need a license anyways.
I am considering becoming a traveling nurse in the future if I am still single... he he..
Oh, and I start nursing assistant program in September 13th for 3 months.
Sorry for writing this. I know it's up to me, but I am wondering if a driving license is required for nursing? >_>

I know for my public health rotation it is actually a requirement to have a driver's license prior to taking the course. It isn't a "stated" requirement for the whole program but it is definitely needed because you will be going to your clinical sites and sometimes I have had to drive as long as 45 minutes away from where I live. I wouldn't recommend biking that distance.
Unless you have some other reliable means of transportation (and also think about poor weather conditions!) I would get your license.

My nursing school doesn't require it. Go get the licence anyway, what do you have to lose? Do you go with a road bicycle everywhere? I hope it doesn't snow where you live lol

Some jobs having a drivers license (and car) are required but for the most part it isn't needed.
My mom was a nurse for 30+ years and never drove.
If you want a drivers license and whoever will be paying for your insurance doesn't mind their rates doubling- go for it.
If you're not especially interested or comfortable driving then don't.

If your clinical placement is too far for you to ride your bike to, then yes. But otherwise, you can use any kind of transportation you like.
