Drexel ACE (Spring 2022)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I know it is probably early for most, but wanted to start a thread for people applying or admitted to 's ACE program for Spring 2022. I just got accepted and am planning on attending. Would love to connect with some future classmates and answer questions for anyone applying!

Hi @lilyrose212  I'm considering applying even though the deadline has passed for Spring 22. Do you mind share your stats and if you have healthcare experience? I just finished all preqs but don't have any health care experience because hospitals are not allowing volunteers due to COVID19. I just started filling out the application and it seems that they don't require personal statement and req letters as well.

Hi! I definitely recommend applying even though the priority deadline has passed - from past threads it looks like lots of people get in well after it (I don't think my official transcripts made it in time for it either). My stats are 3.84 undergrad GPA, a mixture of A and A- on my pre-reqs (I have dev psych left to take) and my current job is the Marine Corps. I don't have hospital volunteer experience either for the same reason and again from previous threads it definitely doesn't seem like a deal breaker! When you submit your initial application you'll have a page on the admissions portal that will give you an email address you can submit a rec letter to and I bet you could also send a personal statement. I submitted a rec letter and probably would have also emailed a personal statement if I was still waiting to hear back. The admissions contact is also super helpful for any questions you may have. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!

I attended a virtual info session last night. One of the admissions counselors said there are still seats open for Spring. Although she said they are not allowed to say how many.

Hi @lilyrose212, thanks for the info! I just applied also week and the admission has also received all my transcripts. How long did it take for you to receive the admission decision after your application was complete ?  I'm also thinking about submitting a rec letter and still waiting for my prof to respond.

Thanks again !!

It took about two months, but there was a hold up with some of my transcripts and I think it was around a month from after they got all of my official transcripts that I heard back. Good luck!!

Hi @lilyrose212I found out about 3 weeks ago that I have been accepted into the program!  It says that the academic advising center will send me a full transfer course evaluation to determine if my prereqs meet the requirement. So far I have not received it yet. How long did it take for you to receive it? Also have you started the compliance process yet? I realized that I'm asking many specific questions on this post about post-acceptance LOL. If you don't mind maybe we can communicate through email ([email protected])

Just heard back today that I have been accepted for Spring! So excited ?

Congratulations!!

Hi everyone, I was originally in the Fall 2021 cohort but I deferred to Spring 2022! Super excited to finally start the program. Anyone here from out of state? I've lived in California most of my life so I'm definitely nervous about doing a cross-country move. ?

Yes! I’m also from California specifically Thousand Oaks. I’m a little nervous also but I’ve been to Philly a dozen times and love it there !
