Drexel ACE Nursing Program Spring 2021

Hey, guys! I looked for a thread for Spring 2021 ACE admission at Drexel University but couldn't find one, so I figured I'd start one here. The priority deadline is approaching quickly so I thought this could be a good place for everyone to keep up to date on what the school needs and when people are hearing back (especially with things being so up in the air in our world right now). Has anyone else completed their application already?

Hey! You can email the admissions director, Ashley McMorifice & ask her to defer your start term.

I just graduated from this program this month. Lmk if anyone has any questions!

My undergrad GPA was a 3.5

My pre-req grades were:

Nutrition: B+

Stat: A

A&P1: A-

A&P2: B

Micro: A

Psych: A-

@DavidsonA

ooo your GPA cumulative and pre-req is impressive.

I'm concerned about my GPA and experience as I do not have much experience within the healthcare field.

As far as healthcare(ish) experience/volunteer hours that I do have, here they are:

got emt-b certification but due to acl reconstruction had to push off employment and then ZERO local agencies were hiring new EMT's

medical reserve corps member of my local county

Other volunteer: americorps program tutoring in Memphis, TN for a whole school year (currently doing this)

Undergrad degree is Biochemistry with a minor in math and I finished with exactly a 3.0 GPA and was also a student-athlete all 4 years

A&P I: B

A&P II: A-

Stats: A-

Chem: B

Nutrition: Lecture A- and Lab A

Micro: B-

English: not sure if the one I have counts

Dev Psych: currently taking

Hoping that some of my volunteer experience can shed some light on my not so great GPA

At my time of applying back in August I had no healthcare job or volunteer experience, I don’t recall Drexel asking for that either but I’m sure it helps!!

I was just accepted yesterday for the Spring session!

Congratulations!

I'm still (maybe not-so) patiently waiting for my decision! ? Fingers crossed, and congrats to everyone!
