Dressing for job interview

Published

Hi, Any tips on hair stlye, polished nails, pantsuit for job interview at Newark Beth Israel.

How do you see this for a lady: Navy blue fitted pantsuit, light pink long sleeve shirt, hair lightly curled and all back a little below the shoulder, moderate make up, small earing with tiny necklace. a file jacket for docs. No handbag.

Thanks for your response

It sounds appropriate to me. I would make sure the pant suit is not too tightly fitted, and don't wear any perfume. My manager almost had an anaphylactic reaction to a very strong cologne a new nurse was wearing to an interview. She had to leave the room. NOT a great way to make a good impression.

Sounds good to me. Remember to have a light hand with the makeup brush, and go with waterproof so it'll hold up no matter what happens. Best of luck!

If only more applicants thought it through so well. It sounds fine, and I second the "watch the perfume" thing and would expand it to include hairspray. Once had an applicant that had so much on there was not only the odor, but the bullet-proof look was off-putting.
