Dreading getting my letter

I have not gotten my letter yet but I feel like I probably didnt make it in. This semester has really killed me. I wont find out until another week and a half. I have a 2.895 gpa. I needed at least a 2.7. I passed the HESI with a 83. I am going to be really sad about it but also I will be ok because I already work in the hospital and I will just have to bring my gpa up until I can reapply.

We wont find out until after final grades are posted next week. I pretty much know the answer though. Its extremely competitive. There are only a few spots open each year due to the waiting lists.

don't get discouraged! i applied last semester and thought for sure that I was going to get in and over the summer I found out that I didn't because of a stupid immunization record error that made my application "incomplete"..I was devastated at first when I was watching all my friends move on but this semester has given me the oppurtunity to study and practice skills on my own! If you don't get in take easy classes to help boost your gpa or take classes over if you think you can do better! i took anatomy over to help refresh my mind..it was tough the second time around (harder teacher) but i think it will be beneficial! it is worth the wait, so don't give up! good luck ;)

Thanks for your encouragement. This semester has been really hard for me and it dropped my gpa. I had a 3.1 now will have a 2.9. If I dont get in I think I will be sad but it will be ok. I will just go ahead and take some stuff over. Good luck to all of you trying to get in.

Well there is always a silver lining at the end of the tunnel. I am currently an ob scrub tech (uncertified) and I was told if I take the online course for 6 months I could do my clinicals where I work and when I get certified I will be getting paid 20 bucks an hour. So if I dont get into clinicals right now this route would be great for me since I am already there.

i have been in a similar situation. even if u dont get in, re-apply or transfer to a school where ur chances of getting in will be higher. i have been turned down by 4 schools. i should be feeling discouraged, right?

Wrong. i chased my dream with more effort and now i'll be starting my nursing classes in Jan 2010.

Lesson: DONT GIVE UP. try again and again and again.

u will make it.
