Drained

Studying for my NCLEX and I a so drained. Emotionally and mentally. I wish I felt better about everything. Seems like I should be happy I am most likely about to start my career, but I'm just tired.

I am too, I'm tired of the constant worry of potentially failing even though I should think positive. I feel there is just sooo much information and I'm afraid that if I get to a question that I don't know of, I'll freak...that's when my heart starts to race and I feel like giving up, i've felt that way in nursing school sometimes, although I seemed to pull it off...sometimes I feel like crying then sometimes I feel okay about it like "Yeah, I'm on my way to the finish line!" then sometimes I actually enjoy studying. And no I'm not biopolar...hehehe:roll:

Me too its a rollercoaster. I am jealous of my friends who are done. BON lost my fingerprints grrr. I'll be glad to get this behind me.

When do you test and what's your simple plan? IF you don't mind me asking.:imbar

I test tuesday July 8th. Simple plan just refers to stick to the basics and it'll work out. Which right now is study hard, try to eat healthy and get some rest.

Good plan you have there...I don't think my plan is necessarily simple, I'm using three sources at the moment...Saunder's 4th ed, kaplan, and nclex 4000 cd. Although I'm using the cd in study mode and do about 10-20 questions here and there in between reading Saunder's and doing q bank questions from kaplan....however I finished the q trainers...whoo hoo.

I saved trainer 7 for today. I am about 25% into Qbank :uhoh21: and I am also doing some reading from the kaplin book. Oh yeah and I spent a couple days watching videos in kaplin content review.

I like the Q bank because you can get automatic feedback and create your own test, or choose strictly test mode which I'm sick of not getting feedback from doing the trainers since they are so long(100-250 q's each!). There is a great section on infection control that I'm going to work on after finishing the 20

questions I have up for Nclex 4000, you can also create your own test....Right now I'm mixing maternity and med surge....I want to get some of this other stuff in faster...it seems like it's a great review when you mix them up when taking questions than just reading the book...although I am reading Saunders, slowly but surely.

Good luck!:yeah:

My friend passed in 75 said she read the book front to back and did Qbank and that's all. My other friend who passed in 75 said her dad was in hospital and she got sick and didn't even study. So there you go. Most everyone I know is doing Kaplin, because our hospital pays for it. Oh yeah and our school made us buy ATI so we did that while in school. I haven't seen Saunders but from hearing the chatter on here I'd say ATI is comparable to Saunders but not sure.

Ok, good luck...

I took ATI in school and have a 93% chance of passing nclex....but I think I'm going to save practicing that for the LAST thing to do then evaluate my scores to really really know my weakness. Your friends must have been fresh out of school or had confidence. I've been out of school for over a year so that's kind of keeping be back....BUT things are coming along much better as I speak for this moment. I got an 87% on one of my tests on nclex 4000(30 questions) so we'll see.

But with kaplan questions, I do horrible. I seem to be a little more nervous when I take those tests two for some reason.

I got a 91% chance on ATI. Everyone does horrible on Kaplin. I get anywhere from 58% - 67% on trainer and qbank.

I got 77% once but that was because I included incorrect and unused after seeing the rational for incorrect..
