Dopamine drip

My mother is 86 years old and is in ICU. She started a dopamine drip yesterday. How long does it usually take before it starts working? If it doesn't start working soon will they dc it? What's the longest time that they will keep someone on it before they give up? How high do they want the b/p to be before they stop the drug? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks;)

Goodness, Blackcat99, I know you must be anxious about all of this.

You really need to pose these questions to her PCP. Only he/she can properly advise you in the way you need right now.

We hope she dramatically improves...........quickly. ((((HUGS))))
