The screen shut off at 75. I walked out trying to figure out if it was a good or bad thing that I didn't feel terrible. I really didn't think it was too bad. I could narrow every question down to 2 and gave my best guess when I wasn't 89% certain. There wasn't anything that showed up that I had never heard of before, even if I couldn't remember details. No wierd made up names of diseases or drugs - no obscure syndromes or anything. I got quite a few med questions - but they were all "need to knows", at least 8 new format (I was keeping count) and lots of priority (mostly what would you do 1st, who would you see 1st, just 1 or two assignment/delegation). I thought it was an even mix of med/surg, ob, pedi & psych & infection control.
I'm a little stunned. I was expecting to feel terrible afterward. Some of the smartest people I've known were inconsolable after they took the exam. I'm uneasy that I didn't think it was that bad.
Now to play the waiting game. I'll post an update on Friday.
