Does a title transfer?

Featured Replies

So my question is that let's say I get my LVN to BSN, and then I decide to get my RN. Once I complete my RN and get my license, does my BSN from the LVN transfer to the my RN?

That makes no sense, at all.

Sorry that it doesn't make sense.

What i was trying to say was that, I have my LVN with a BSN. And I'm in the RN program currently. Once I finish the RN program, would i need to earn another BSN with my RN?

A BSN is a nursing degree that leads to an RN license. Do you maybe have a bachelor's degree in something else along with being an LVN?

Yes I do have it in another subject. Yea that makes sense. Thank you!

The Bachelor's of Science in Nursing would be a separate degree from the one you have and the "bachelor's" title would not transfer. You might be able to obtain your BSN more quickly than someone starting from scratch, though.

There is no such thing as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in another (non-nursing) "subject". That would be another BS entirely. But to the original question, you can list as many earned credentials as you wish. I have seen entire business cards filled with initials - but it looks pretty silly if some of them are not really relevant.
