Does TIME matters on NCLEX?

Published

I have taken NCLEX yesterday and the computer has shut off at 75. I worry that i failed because I guessed most of my answers. In addition to that, I have answered 75 questions in 2 hours and 10 minutes! I know a very intelligent friend who took NCLEX last month and it stopped at 78, but she spent nearly 3 hours for the whole thing - and she failed! :scrying:Do you guys know if the time you spent answering on questions affects the results?:crying2:

I don't think it does. I believe you have 5-6 hours to complete the entire test.

Time isn't a factor in the way it will see how quick you answer questions but you do have a time limit overall. Hang in there and good luck

How fast or how slow you answer each question does not have any bearing on pass/fail. Only matters if you get answer right/wrong. Wait for your results and go from there. Good luck!:wink2:

I also took my Nclex exam yesterday with 75 questions within 2 hours and 30mins. You are not alone. Don't worry about taking those 75 questions for a long range of time as long as you finished it within 6 hours which is the max hour that we can consume for our Nclex exam. It doesn't affect the result of your Nclex exam. Proof? Try to look on the website of NCSBN: https://www.ncsbn.org/1230.htm to fully understand how Nclex exam works. If you wanna check if time can affect the result, you check on the category Speededness, under it you download: Is how fast I respond to items an important factor for passing the NCLEX? (PDF 69.9k) I hope this will help you. Hopefully, we both make it. Just pray to God. I know he knows what is the best for us. :)

I Believe That The Whole Test Hours Are 5 Hours And You Can Take Breaks As Many As You Want...try To Take One Minute For Each Questions...wish You Good Luck !!
