Does incomplete BRN application affect PVT?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX last Tuesday, June 28th, in California. I've been getting the good pop-up from Pearson Vue, but I'm reluctant to believe that I passed until I see my name and license number on the BRN. I called the BRN and was told that my program had not yet sent in my transcripts! So I called my program and got that taken care of (transcripts will most likely be sent to BRN next Monday or Tuesday). My question is, does this at all affect PVT? Would an incomplete BRN application somehow affect PVT, or is PVT completely independent from BRN? The good pop-up is the only thing that's keeping me sane right now. :uhoh3:

Please, any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Stressed,

Yoshi

Anyone? :crying2:

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I guess what I'm trying to ask is, would Pearson Vue, for whatever reason, yield false positive results (good pop-up) if I have an incomplete application at the BRN (missing transcripts)? Or would having an incomplete application not affect the PVT at all? Does that make sense?

Best Regards,

No. Pearson VUE has nothing to do with your state board of nursing. It doesn't matter that you have an incomplete application. Pearson VUE doesn't know that.

Thanks, Ashley. So long as I continue to get the good pop-up from Pearson Vue, I will at least remain hopeful. Seriously, though, waiting is absolutely torturous. :uhoh3:

The delay in sending the transcripts will cause a delay in your license being issued. Good luck with your official results.

Oh, my goodness, I'm seriously beginning to lose all hope. It's been well over two weeks since I've taken the NCLEX. I've called the BRN and they confirmed that they've already received my transcript. My application is complete with the exception of my transcript needing to be keyed in. They told me that I need to wait. For how long? I'm really not sure. Friends who took the NCLEX TWO weeks AFTER I did have already got their names and license numbers on CA BON. I'm seriously going crazy here. :uhoh3: All of this waiting is making me loopy.

On the upside, Pearson Vue continues to yield the good pop-up for me, which is seriously the only thing that's keeping me SOMEWHAT sane at this point. :crying2: I've researched this site for HOURS, and I've never encountered a single post where someone got the good pop-up only to find out that he/she failed the NCLEX. I hope the PVT doesn't let me down. :crying2:
