Does this happen to you?

I have been having trouble sleeping because in my dreams I'm at work and I forgot something huge. I will remember tiny little things that I didn't do or something and it makes my sleep quality crap. I asked a few other new grads at work if they experience this and they said they do. Any tips on getting over this? I really want to leave work at work so I can enjoy my sleep and life more.

I'm a new grad who has been working for a few months and I've definitely had some dreams about work-and just some crazy/stressful dreams period-more so than before I started. I think the worst came after a shift followed by watching Law and Order SVU. Crazy shift + sex crime dramas = not restful dreams. LOL.

One thing that helps me calm down after a shift is taking physical/visible steps to remove not only my body but my mind from the work environment. At the end of every shift, I take a couple of minutes to peacefully clean out my pockets, really enjoy my walk back to my car (sounds silly, I know, but it's soothing and the fall is so pretty here), eat dinner SLOWLY when I get home, and try to enjoy my Jack Johnson Pandora station and book for even a few minutes before bed.

I have these dreams too. Usually I'm trying to see all my patients and in the dream state I just can't make it to their room. Odd I know. I will try some of the suggestions above. I really think it is robbing me of my deep sleep.
