Does it get better?

I'm a nursing student who will graduates in May. I hate clinicals. I hate the crabby nurses and instructors who treat us like children. My questions is, does it get better once you graduate and working on your own? I'm afraid I made a bad choice going into nursing. Did anyone else feel this way?

Yup! I feel like a showed up at a party thinking that I was invited, but I was not. Condescension, apathy, crabby, lazy, mean, and every once in awhile, someone decent. I worked in another field for 25 years and never encountered such a level of mean. But I love working with the patients. So there you go.

I have been a surgical tech. in a large OR for 10 yrs. and am currently in nursing school. I have to say you are going to encounter some nurses who are unhappy about everything and could care less whether you learn anything or not and then there will be those like my best friend that is a nurse and she would teach anybody willing to learn anything they wanted to know. I always just tried to ignore those that were never happy with anything!
