Does Excelsior A & P satisfy requirement for their RN program?

I took Excelsiors A&P exam to satisfy mine. Had taken it before at a community college but had been greater than 5 years so it wouldn't transfer

Thank you ahinman- Ive taken A&P 1 and 2 within the last 5 years but for some reason am not getting credit. I plan to look into it with my admissions rep. I will def look into the exam if I need the credits.

I am actually looking for the same answer. I felt that if I test out of classes(CLEP and Excelsior), I won't have to spend as much money(GI Bill doesn't cover everything). Excelsior is well known in the military community, figured I could save time and money and get my BSN sooner. What's really confusing is that they have two different versions of the test. They have Anatomy and Physiology, then a I and II version. Which one are you supposed to take?:bored:Hmmmmm....

I think you can take either from what i understand. I read that if you are planning on bsn you should take the 2 separate ones cause its a lab that you need.

My coworker tested out of AP and said it was the 6 credit AP exam option. That exam seems to cover 2 semesters of A & P.....good to know but still does not make much sense of the 4 credits needed for the degree program

I know I'm late here, but you're missing the A&P Lab which is usually a separate 1 credit registration for each term. The CLEP wouldn't give you credit for this, which is why it's only worth 6 credits instead of 8.

EC has the ANP exam or the ANP1 and 2 with a lab. You only need the single ANP which is equivalent to a two semester course. If you plan to go somewhere else besides ec for your bsn you should do the two separate exams. Not to be a stickler, but CLEP is a different company from EC an EC exam is Uxcel, not clep.

Thankfully, after my final evaluation, my community college AP 1&2 transferred over to EC so Im good
