My reason for asking this question is related to computer charting, which was supposed to eliminate so much paper work, but it seems there's more instead of less.

Your poll is unanswerable! The answers are incongruent with the question.

Fran,
I much prefer computer charting, whether it is in the OR, ICU, or even ER.
I have used a system in each of these areas and it actually made my life much easier. Sure, you have to have copies printed, and if the computer crashes you have to go and find a back-up copy to write, BUT, if I was going to pick between a hospital that had computer charting and one that didn't, I would definitely give a YES to the computer.
Hope that this helps.................. :balloons:
I know. And I tried to fix it, but was unable to.
