Do you ever feel like this?

I took my first Med-Surg test last night. I studied my butt off but always when you sit down to take the test you feel like you know the material but in the end when you walk out you feel like you failed. Why is that? So to say the least I hate the waiting for the Grade. Michele

i can agree with you. i hate waiting for the grades. even though i know i studied the material the wait makes me less confident by the day.......

I had a study guide complete with Cd prep-tests that I used to help study for my RN exam. I kept getting really lousy marks on the preps, even though I felt good about my answers! I finally realized the questions were more subjective, and that you had to really look at the answers THEY gave to see what kind of thing they really wanted(lot's of psycho-socially type stuff). Well once I got the hang of that I sailed through my real RN exam. I hate that uncertainty when waiting for marks too. Just try to remind youself the odds are on your side if you feel confident in your understanding of the material. Good luck!

Nursing exams seem to be like that. If you go the NCLEX bulletin board, you'll find that 99% of the people who leave NCLEX are convinced they've failed. Strange. :)

Good luck!
