Do you confuse this? I DO!

So me and my husband are on a trip, I'm the guide evidently.

Being a nurse, my mind is programmed to think anatomical directions: example- I point right and say left identifying the anatomical side of the body.

This makes him crazy- I say right, point left, and immediately yell OPPS LEFT....

Am I the only one!? I feel like it might be a nurse thing haha.

Let me know, would love to hear your stories!!

There are times where I'm positioning patients in the OR and have to practically put myself in the position to keep the patient's right and left straight.

Right vs left has always been tricky haha, I usually have to shake the hand I write with to confirm that direction is right. 😳

I also do that thing where I position myself the same was as the patient lol

I lived in a country where I had to drive on the opposite side of the road than I initially learned. Ever since, I have to put myself in the same position as the patient, and still use the wrong term.
