Hi Nurse Friends!

I am looking for some disability insurance that covers maternity. Does anyone have any info on a company?

Have you ever heard of AFLAC? They will pay you while you are out on maternity leave. Plenty of insurance agents sell this disability insurance. Also, many workplaces offer it too.

In CA I was paid by AFLAC as well as state disability under the FMLA.

AFLAC worked great for me here in CA

Colonial is who I had. I wouldn't recommend them unless there was little or no other choice.

I purchased coverage thru Jefferson Pilot a number of years ago thru my employer. When I left to work at another facility, I was able to convert it to a private policy. It was the best investment I ever made. It paid during an injury leave, and again when I had a long-term maternity leave due to pregnancy complications.
