Director of Nursing

Published

I just started another facility about a month ago and I have noticed little by little that the Director of nursing it's not doing her job correctly and been doing this 26 years I've never seen what I've been seeing at this facility go on

Job titles, expectations, and job descriptions vary by facility. I'd tread carefully if you just started there, as you don't want a bullseye on your back from the get go. Try to find some job descriptions, ask coworkers etc. There may be a reason, like written work agreement she has with the company

I worked for a regional LTC company and the facility that I was at was 100% private pay, no govt funds PERIOD.  As I didn't know, I expected everything to be as they were at the other facilities for this company that did take MCR and MCD. I made an *** of myself expounding my knowledge. My advice is to just "ponder" the situation to coworkers before making outright assumptions

She's been there 26 years, you just started. Enough said.
