Dickies

(The original title of this post was going to be "Stiff Dickies", but... umm...)

I bought some Dickies scrubs a few weeks ago and while I love the color, they're too darn stiff! They're currently on their third wash with an exorbitant amount of fabric softener, but I'm not sure they're ever going to be as soft as my Walmart scrubs. Is this the norm with the Dickies brand? Will they ever be soft? :/

Try the sandwashed type of Dickies, they are super soft. Regular Dickies tend to be a little rough.

I've had that problem too. I even soaked them in a tub of dilute bleach to try and break the fibers and fade them just a little. It helped a tiny bit, but not enough.

I've got some of these Generation Flex Dickies that are pretty soft. They might be only for dudes though.

On the other hand, they last forever: I have some scrub bottoms that go back 8 years. No thin spots, split seams, pilling or color issues. And that's with wearing at least once a week (except on vacation) and washing after every wearing. The only Dickies I've really had to replace because of color changes or generally looking shabby has been the whites.

Trust me, with time and wear, they'll soften nicely.

I can't talk about their scrub tops ... I prefer print tops with solid pants and the Dickies prints are butt-ugly, so I don't buy those.

try the brand koi"s, it is fun and amazing !!

I recently bought some Dickies and some Cherokee scrubs, and decided to stick with the Dickies brand for just this reason. They seem to be a lot more durable for the money.

I love Koi scrubs, they are so comfy and they fit me just right because I am petite and also the bottoms feel like cargo pants to me. I don't like scrubs that drag me down. :lol2:
