I'm in the process of researching Dialysis Tech. programs. Does anyone have any information on DT programs in Chicago and/or its surrounding suburban areas? Malcolm X Neph. Prog. is 2 years. Thanks.

What is the program in Westmont -- I also would really like to know.
Thanks,
Laura
Google CMK in Westmont. It's on Cass Avenue. The course is OK (and just that...OK) so far and could be better however the course serves its purpose which is that I learn about hemodialysis devices, renal failure, dialysis prescription, principles of dialysis, the kidney, heart, med. term., etc.
If I could have attended Prairie State College for 7 weeks, I would have over CMK. PSC is closer.

Just wanna share this information to everyone seeking Dialysis Technician class or training. I went to school in Des Plaines, IL The school name is Jethro Healthcare School. They have really good Dialysis Tech course, and i mean REALLY! After taking the course, they allowed us to take the CCHT exam, they also provided review class for that. Guess what?!?! I now have a job in one of the biggest Dialysis Center here in Illinois.
The board exam is held in their school. Im not sure about the dates of the exam, but you may wanna check their website
(im not sure if posting website url is permissible here, but try to google it) and the dates of exam at their campus http://www.nncc-exam.org/cgi-bin/WebObjects/NNCCMain.woa/wa/viewSection?s_id=1073744741
Hope that helps...it really helped me! :):up:
