Desogen...any experiences?

Hi everyone, I'm not looking to solicit medical advice but I've just been prescribed desogen by my NP and was wondering if anyone has any experiences with this drug (in patients or using it themselves)

I had to get this prescription over the phone as my school just stopped selling nuva ring for $12 a month and now sell them for $50. Being a poor college student, I can't afford this! There are only 3 birth controls they still sell for $12 a month. Those include Desogen (which I had never heard of), Cyclessa (also never heard of) and ortho tricyclen lo.

Does anyone have any experience with desogen they'd like to share? I found a message board discussing all the horrid side effects of it and I'm scared!

Apparently it interacts with vitamin C....which is in everything...including my multivitamins...I'm very lost and wondering if I should call my NP and ask her to go through the trouble of prescribing something else before tomorrow when I need to pick it up.

Thanks

I have been on it for the last three months. I love it. No side effects, no problems, and very cheap. I like it better than I liked Yasmin.

I used to be on Desogen. Loved it. No side effects at all. In fact, before I switched to it, I didn't realize I was having side effects with my other pills. I've never had any problems with it at all.

Hi there, I've been using it for a year now and have had no problems. It's cheap too!

I was placed on it as well and no problems for me.
