I graduated last year as a Psych NP. I had no problem finding a job and had my pick of multiple offers.
A lot will depend on whether you have freedom of movement to where Psych NPs are more in demand, whether you want loan-repayment or not (which I did, but this required a cross-country move).
Look on monster.com and other nursing job sites. There are lots of positions out there. Good Luck!
Psych NP Salaries vary based on area of the country and experience, but are generally higher than Primary care NPs, as it is considered a specialty. Check http://www.salary.com or other salary sites, which will confirm my statement.

Hey Osorry, Im in an Psych NP program. I have a good year and a half to go, but Im a little concerned about the job market, I just don't know much about it......I dropped you an email asking you few questions about what I can expect. Actually, more than a few, some of them probaly very basic for you, if you didn't get the email, perhaps I can ask you again on this site. Thanks

I posted this question in the psyche forum but didn't get any responses so I thought I'd give it a shot here. Does anyone know what the demand is for psyche NP's, particularly in the field of children and adolescents?? I live in New Jersey. Thanks!
