DCCCD Nursing Program

Has anyone had any problem getting into the Nursing programs within the Dallas County Community College District?

If so, did you have all A's? Just wondering how hard it is, and if I will need to retake classes to make higher grades.

I had a newborn, and was young and stupid when I first started college. lol

I have mostly B's, but have taken, I think, around 35 credit hours already.

When I was accepted, you had to have a 3.79 GPA in your pre-req's and most of your co-req's completed with a 3.75 to get in. You absolutely must have an A in A&P I, because it counts for 4 credits hours thus has more weight. My suggestion is not to take A&P I at Brookhaven. It is extremely difficult to get an A there and many people end up having to repeat the class at another campus. Try Northlake or Eastfield instead. Good luck!

I am taking my classes at North Lake. "WHEN" I get accepted into the Nursing program, my first choice is also NLC.

I am studying already, so I will be prepared for the class come January. :chuckle
