Man so i made an F last semester in general chemistry because my lab materials were lost in the mail, well I couldnt have an F on my transcript (even though it already had an effect on my GPA ...) So i retook it this semester and am still making a bad grade. But yet I am making an A in microbiology...grr so frustraiting! Anyhoo on this vent...if I drop, that will not mess with my GPA will it? I already applied to UTH and they took my intro to chemistry (A) so that is great but i worry because I can not lower my GPA anymore!
SO should I drop it or keep trying for a C

I would stick with it and get tutoring. I would do whatever I could to bring my chem grade up. Are you taking micro and chem at the same time? I wish you luck. I had a hard time with chem and made a C. I took it with A&P 1 and the C really hurt me. Now I only take 1 science class at a time.

Look at their repeat policies. if they take the highest grade or even recent grade. i would say retake it. I used to think settling for a C would be fine. It is for a core class but not a prereq imo. unless you have all A's in the rest of them.
StudentCL has a good point. look for a tutor
For me, study groups always personally worked well for me if I needed help or didnt need help at all.
Which school are you currently at?
